  1. Reading and writing for me, is amongst the most important skills any individual could ever possess. Reading and writing works hand in hand which both helps an individual improve on both skills. By writing, one can become a better efficient and effective reader, as well as the other way around. Since both skills work perfectly, it creates an intelligent individual, one who could think a lot more effectively, also creating intelligent students and people just like us

  2. Reading is a foundation of writing. As long as reading and writing work together, English skill can be improved. If we read a lot, we can have more thinking. If we have more thinking, we can gather more information about writing. However, reading and writing work together also can help us improve thinking. All of these three activities help us improve English. Today, we wrote a compare essay about society contribution. Which groups make more contributions to society? Artists or scientists? I think scientists make more contributions to society and I gave some examples to demonstrate it.

    1. I also noted that scientists contribute more to our society than artists.

  3. How much we read affects how well we write and at the same time, we benefit from the process of writing when we are reading. Before writing, we need information and this is where reading comes in. Reading provides knowledge, vocabulary expansion, and teaches us different writing styles and structures which we can instill in our own writing. Our own writing helps us analyze authors' works and distinguish styles. Together, they improve our critical and analytical thinking skills, and help better organize information.

Today was another timed essay exam. The topic was which do we think made more contributions to society, science or art. Like a few others in the class, I suffered from writers' block and had difficulty providing examples.

  4. Reading and writing are the most important tools of the English language. These tools have created a broad view of the understanding of communication, knowledge and art. Reading has enhanced the minds of many individuals and without the different genres of writing, many artists today would not meet their passion without past evidence. Reading and writing is a passion and one of the many truths for life today.
Today's essay examination was quite interesting. The topic for the essay was different from most essay topics but the ability of being able to expand our minds and compare and contrast between the two subjects was very interesting. I really had to find more constructive ways of creating a proper thesis for my arguments and examples, so that was the interesting part of today.

  5. Reading and writing are both important. You can’t have one without the other. Reading affects writing, and writing affects reading. When we read, we become better writers and when we keep practicing in writing, we develop our reading skills. Reading gives us background, and a good foundation. It also expands our vocabulary that can really help with better writing. Writing enhances comprehension. Writing and reading are both needed to improve our thinking skills. Today’s activity was great and helpful. I think that these writing assignments really helps me develop my writing skills and also writing under pressure. The essay’s topic today was interesting and I did not have a hard time writing it. I hope that writing skills will keep improving. We had a great and productive class today.

  6. Without reading, your ability to write will weaken. Without writing, your ability to read will also weaken. Reading and writing are skills that are better developed when applied simultaneously. Reading and writing can aid one's ability to think critically. When child learns to write, they also learn to read at the same time, e.g. pronunciation of the alphabet. Today's writing assignment was easier for me to write than the previous assignment. However, I believe my essay was a lot less organized due to the lack of time. These writing assignments enable me to improve my writing skills when I'm put under pressure.

    2. Your years as a child definitely tend to mold you as a person and teaches you the very foundation of what type of principal you will come to abide by.

  7. Without a doubt reading and writing definitely go hand in hand because of the very nature of the subject. Comprehension is the ability to recognize and understand the subject through the use of critical thinking. As for todays class the overall experience was the same fun normal day full of learning new things to use in the future.

  8. Reading and writing go hand in hand and compliment each other. It is like peanut butter and jelly. They both help each other greatly. Writing makes your ability to read better and reading makes your writing skills improve. Today's class lesson didn't exist for me because I was not here for that day. But I know you guys had fun.
