This is a very helpful resource. It will help me improve in my grammar, English mechanics and punctuation. There were a few errors that I use every time I write an essay and I thought it was correct grammar. This will definitely improve my English writing. Today was helpful.

DeleteEnglish grammar is said to be the hardest to learn of all the languages. This article will help me as well to find the common mistakes.
DeleteI feel that I am solid in my experience in grammar, but times change and the present ways of grammar slowly change without out notice. On the same note, just because learning and using a particular piece of mistaken grammar does not make it right according to the written rule. Back in the 1800's the phrase "pretty while very much" slowly changed over time to conform to simplicity.
ReplyDeleteJapanese grammar has slowly been changing too. for an example, 全然(zenzen) meant not at all before. However, there exist a couple of ways to use that word now. I sometimes get confused when I talk to older people because they use old grammar.
DeleteThat's interesting. I forgot that sentence structure, words and grammar change over time. Then soon, new words and new development in the English language will take place.
DeleteLanguage will always change unfortunately. There are so many words that weren't even acceptable a few years ago, now they're dictionary.

ReplyDeleteI find the resource to be useful. It is always a good thing to know what the common mistakes would be, the more you know the better. Always have to make sure the thesis is in the essay,stays with the topic, being clear, and follows with the paragraph easily. For today's discussion was helpful on the cause and effect along with this resource.

After reviewing this, I realized that I need to worry about using comma appropriately. I still get confused where to put commas. DeleteWe all make these common mistakes, and that is why it is important to peer review our paper. I think the common-mistakes sample is also useful to the ones’ who forgot a thing or two from high-school english, including me.
